Review-NYX Rouge Cream Blush In 'Glow'

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm going to be reviewing one of the products that I kindly received from Blanc II Noir a few weeks back and that is the NYX Rouge Cream Blush in the shade 'Glow'.If your unfamiliar with this company then you can check out my introductory post here, basically I just mentioned what I received, when I'll be reviewing the products, who the company is and what they do, so I would defiantly advise you to check out that. Here in Ireland NYX isn't available as far as I know so the only choice is buying online and this is one of many websites that offer NYX products for a cheap, affordable price and ships worldwide.

Packaging:I really do like the packaging on these cream blushes, they remind me of Mac in a way, quite similar. It's black with a see through flip back lid and the name of the brand and how much product your getting is on the front and the shade, ingredients, and any other information is on the back. It's very sturdy and is not cheap looking what so ever which I like,as it is a cheap product compared to the Mac Cream Blushes.

Product:First things first your getting exactly 3.5g of product which is a nice amount for the price,it's going to last you.As you can see from the swatches above these blushes are very pigmented and the shade 'Glow' contains no shimmer, which is good in a way as most people do prefer a matte blush.I have to say when I first seen it I was slightly shocked,it looked almost red in the pan and personally I don't think that shade of blush suits me and if not applied correctly can turn out horribly wrong but once applied to the cheeks it gives a gorgeous natural glow, hence the name and I would describe the colour as a deep rosy pink rather than full on red,you can see the true colour once it's blended out,it's not as crazy looking as I made it out to be.The constituency is very smooth and creamy and literally just glides onto your face, after I used this I thought to myself why am I actually using powder blushes? These are just so much better! Seriously more brands should start making cream blushes because there amazing.

Lasting Power:When used with a primer and setting spray this does go a long way and would last a good 6 hours+ before you can see it slightly fading but you don't need to bring this around with you for touch ups, that's something I never do with blush because most of them do last you the whole day anyway and by evening you can just notice a small change but nothing major.

Colour Range:These are available in 13 different shades altogether ranging from bright pinks to dark pinks, oranges to browns so your bound to find a colour to suit you, there defiantly is a nice selection of shades to choose from which I like in a brand.

Price:The Rouge Cream Blushes are priced at $5.53 on the Blanc II Noir website so when converted to my currency they defiantly are very cheap and affordable which is a huge thumbs up for me.

Would I Re-Purchase? I don't think I will have to be re-purchasing this shade for a while but I defiantly have a few more shades down on my wishlist that I would like to try out so I most defiantly will be re-purchasing these.Overall I would rate this product 9.5/10

Disclaimer:These products were sent out to me by the Blanc II Noir Company for reviewing purposes, anything I said was in my own honest opinion and not influenced by anybody.

FOTD-Rusty Eyes With Coral Lips

Hi Dolls!

I am very happy to say that I finished up with my exams last Thursday and they all went very well,I was delighted with each and every one and all that studying defiantly did pay off,now all I have to do is wait for the results which will be out in September,I actually don't know why it takes so long are they trying to torture us?! Anyway I'm officially on my summer holidays now which I'm delighted about, although it doesn't feel one bit like summer because the weather is horrible out,so when it's like that I have noting else to do but stay inside all day.I have a few things planned for next week,I'm going out shopping and then myself and my friends are going to a end of exams disco Thursday night which I cannot wait for so I said I would get a few posts typed up today as I'm doing nothing else.I have a lot to catch up on,so much to do and read, but I'm not going to go back and read two whole weeks of posts because that would literally take forever but I'll try and get as much done today as I can.
These pictures were taken about a month ago possibly more? Can you believe I'm only getting it up now, naughty naughty.I was experimenting with some of my NYX products that I received from Blanc II Noir that day (I'll be working on reviews over the next few weeks) and then I just went out shopping with my Mam,to be honest I didn't think the eyes would turn it that colour,I thought it would be more of a rusty shade but as you can see it's almost red,but it did look pretty good on and was wearable and I love how my whole makeup matched, the eyes, cheeks and lips,I thought it would be too clashy at first but I actually did like the result.

Monthly Favourites-May

Hello Beauties!

I'm a few days late with this one so I do apologise for that,I had most of this written up but then I thought it was too late and I would leave it until next month but I had a little break from exams at the weekend so I thought I would finish it up.I haven't done a monthly favourites post since February which is quite a while back,I don't do one every month reason being I don't actually find enough new products each month that I love and would want to include because you know me I usually spend a good few weeks trying out a product before I can say if I actually like it or not so I will do a monthly favourites every now and then of course. These products that I have listed are basically everything that I have been using and loving during the month of May,some I have reviewed before, others I will be doing over the next few weeks.

Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo-I never even heard of dry shampoo up until a few months ago.I picked up my first bottle of Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo in Penny's/Primark which is now empty and of course I had to re-purchase.For the people out there who never tried dry shampoos before or this brand then I defiantly recommend you do.I love the flavour but I must try out some more especially some of the new ones that Batiste released this year. This is great for those days that your just not in the mood for washing your hair whether your busy or just having a lazy day. When you spray this on you hair at first and if your a brunette then this does tend to make your hair white but don't panic because once you massage it through it blends in perfectly and refreshes your hair as though it was just washed and the smell lingers thoughout the day.

St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse-In the shade 'Medium'-I recently did a review on this tan which you can check out here,so I'm not going to go into much detail.Lets just say it's cheap and for a tan out of Penny's you wouldn't expect much.Well that's what I first thought but I was wrong. It's an instant tan that's available in two shades, comes in a cream and mist also, doesn't wash off and it gives you the most gorgeous summery glow to your skin if applied correctly, the best part is it's under a fiver and you get 200ml of product and I still have my bottle from last summer.

La Roche Posay Eau-Thermale Spring Water-I received this at a promotion day at a chemist in town a while back.My mam landed home with a huge bag full of Nuxe and La Roche Posay testers and this was the biggest of them all that was included which I thought was very generous. This has many different uses but I use it as a setting spray and it has been featured in almost all of my FOTD posts. When I'm finished my makeup on weekends and ready to leave the house I spray this across my face and I can clearly see a difference. Not sure if it makes my makeup last any longer because I use EL Double Wear which is quite long lasting but it defiantly makes my foundation look more natural looking and gives my skin a refreshing glow.I will most defiantly be buying the full size of this when I run out.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation-In the shade 'Ecru'-I actually do not know where to start on this foundation,I cannot recommend it enough and in my opinion I think everyone should own a bottle whether it's for everyday or nights out, good skin or bad skin.My acne is quite bad at the minute and that's the reason, I received it as a present for Christmas. It's quite expensive but I don't use it for school, only on weekends and I still have more than half of mine left and you only need a very small amount as it is a full coverage foundation so do not pack it on or you will get that cakey, fake looking plastic face.An update review will be up over the next few weeks and I'll go into much more detail.

Soap&Glory Hand Food-I actually only have this about a month, maybe more but it's something that I use in my everyday routine.I only have the travel size but my Mam bought the full size for herself because she loved it that much.I find using this twice or three times a day keep my hands well  moisturised and free from and dry skin or cracks. Not just this do I love but the actually brand Soap&Glory. And it's signature scent is just a-mazing.

Smooch Duo Eyeshadow-In the shade 'Dirty Martini'-Smooch Cosmetics is a relatively new brand and very few people know about them and I didn't until my local pharmacy started stocking their products.I picked up this duo eyeshadow which is a green and gold and you can use together or on their own,but I refer to use them together and it makes the perfect gold smokey eye.I have been using it a lot over the month of May.Unfortunately the products were quickly sold of the shelves and I didn't mange to pick up the bronzer in time which was supposed to be featured in my giveaway along with a few other items and that's why it has been delayed. If there is anything else from the brand that you would like instead of the bronzer then please tell me below because I would love to throw in something from the brand.

Maybelline Dream Touch Mousse Blush-In the shade 'Peach'-I purchased this from Shona in a blog sale a while back for £2 which was a complete bargain.I have been using it quite a lot and everyone always admires it on me when I do have it on.It's a gorgeous peachy shade hence the name with a slight shimmer to it and gives the cheeks a gorgeous natural glow.I don't think I'll re-purchase due to the price unless I pick it up in another blog sale or if it's on offer or something like that.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer-In the shade 'Fair'-This is the most raved about concealer there is out there,I have bought three so far and will always continue to re- purchase because it's defiantly a product I cannot live without.I don't tend to use this for my under eye area,I usually would just dab it on any blemishes that I have and it covers them up perfectly as it's full coverage. One thing I would say about this would be that it doesn't last the whole day, especially when your no wearing a primer underneath or don't set it with a powder or setting spray, but you can always touch up during the day anyway.

Essence I ♥ Extreme Volume Mascara-I'm glad to say that I have finally found my HG mascara and it's another product from the Essence range.I have been using it in almost every FOTD post over the last few months and I had a few people commenting on how good my lashes looked in the pictures, you would actually think I was wearing false ones, but I wasn't just two coats of the Essence I ♥ Extreme Volume Mascara.I do have naturally quite dark lashes and there a good enough length too but I always have a problem with mascaras, either there not black enough, they clump, flake during the day leaving you with raccoon eyes or they just don't give me enough volume. This mascara has to be one of the most volumised mascaras there is out there,it gets each lash individually adding volume, lenght and curl and no matter how many coats you apply this will not clump. It only came out before Christmas but I had my hands on it immediately and at first I didn't use it very much, but it's defiantly my favourite mascara at the minute and hopefully will be getting a review up in the next few weeks because I think it deserves a lot of good feedback.

Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner-For the last two weeks I have completely stopped wearing eyeliner on my waterline and changed to just mascara and liquid liner on my lash line and I have been using the Essence Waterproof Liquid Liner to do this.It just goes on like a dream,no smudging, dries in quite quickly, very pigmented and no need to touch up as it is waterproof and does stay on the whole day.I have a feeling I'm going to run out of this soon so I better purchase a backup next time I'm in town.I recently did a review on this product so if your interested in seeing that then just click here.
